Job Summary

The ARCS Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of access control systems, radio communication equipment, security systems, and related infrastructure. The technician ensures that all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm, and communication systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ARCS equipment and associated hardware.
  • Troubleshoot system faults and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct system testing, commissioning, and performance verification.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.
  • Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and documentation.
  • Support system upgrades, modifications, and expansions as required.
  • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and clients during installation and maintenance activities.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and technical issues when required.
  • Inspect equipment and identify potential operational problems before failures occur.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, testing devices, and company equipment.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in security systems, communications, or technical maintenance.
  • Experience with access control systems, CCTV, radio communication systems, and network infrastructure is preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and procedures.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift and carry technical equipment and tools.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions when necessary.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
