Job Description: 

JOB PURPOSE

The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services to meet the company's operational needs while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain management principles.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Strategic Sourcing Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service. Develop and maintain a robust supplier base to ensure a competitive and reliable supply chain.
  2. Negotiation & Contract Management Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks. Ensure all agreements comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  3. Purchase Order Management Create, issue, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Resolve any discrepancies or issues with suppliers promptly.
  4. Cost Analysis & Reduction Conduct regular cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. Implement strategies to optimize procurement spend and enhance overall efficiency.
  5. Supplier Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Conduct regular performance reviews and collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
  6. Inventory Management Work closely with the inventory management team to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  7. Compliance & Documentation Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
  8. Market Research Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and emerging suppliers to identify new opportunities and mitigate potential risks.

COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internal: Collaborate closely with R&D, Engineering, Finance teams and all other end users to define requirements and resolve issues.
  • External: Maintain professional relationships with key suppliers and negotiate contracts effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPSM or CIPS is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Mandarin and Englis skill is a must for this role.  The successful candiate must hold valid Chinese passport.
