Job Description:
JOB PURPOSE
The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services to meet the company's operational needs while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain management principles.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Strategic Sourcing Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service. Develop and maintain a robust supplier base to ensure a competitive and reliable supply chain.
- Negotiation & Contract Management Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks. Ensure all agreements comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Purchase Order Management Create, issue, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Resolve any discrepancies or issues with suppliers promptly.
- Cost Analysis & Reduction Conduct regular cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. Implement strategies to optimize procurement spend and enhance overall efficiency.
- Supplier Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Conduct regular performance reviews and collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
- Inventory Management Work closely with the inventory management team to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
- Compliance & Documentation Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
- Market Research Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and emerging suppliers to identify new opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Internal: Collaborate closely with R&D, Engineering, Finance teams and all other end users to define requirements and resolve issues.
- External: Maintain professional relationships with key suppliers and negotiate contracts effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPSM or CIPS is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Mandarin and Englis skill is a must for this role. The successful candiate must hold valid Chinese passport.
