Job Purpose:-

To supervise and manage electrical maintenance activities in the plant, including preventive and corrective maintenance, planned outages, and overhauling of electrical equipment. The role ensures plant availability and equipment reliability in alignment with maintenance plans, HSE guidelines, and quality standards.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:-

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum Experience:

  • 8–10 years in electrical maintenance within water desalination and power generation plants
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role

Skills:

  • Practical electrical engineering expertise
  • Downtime analysis and problem-solving tools
  • Maintenance management and predictive inspection tools
  • SAP CMMS knowledge
  • Project management and outage execution experience
  • Preventive/predictive maintenance theory
  • Mentoring and team leadership
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of NOMAC operations and plant systems
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork

 

Key Accountabilities:-

People Management: Supervise team activities to meet targets and deliver business plans in line with policies and procedures.

Maintenance Management:

  • Monitor preventive, corrective, and overhauling activities for electrical equipment.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime and avoid penalties.
  • Promote condition-based maintenance through troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Troubleshooting & Technical Guidance:

  • Diagnose faults and recommend repairs ensuring compliance with quality and HSE standards.
  • Conduct engineering studies and feasibility analyses for equipment modifications.
  • Prepare technical evaluations and cost estimates for new installations or repairs.

Outage Management:

  • Forecast manpower and material needs for maintenance execution.
  • Coordinate annual outage maintenance of critical electrical equipment.

Documentation: Ensure accurate SAP documentation of maintenance activities including logs and resource usage.

Health, Safety, Security & Environment:

  • Enforce HSSE policies and permit-to-work systems.
  • Collaborate with HSE to ensure safety compliance and incident investigation.

Material Management:

  • Lead preparation of equipment and spare parts requirements.
  • Conduct technical evaluations with procurement for material selection.

Networking:

  • Maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external contractors.
  • Liaise with EPC/OEM contractors for technical guidance and issue resolution.

SAP Administration: Supervise SAP processes including planning, scheduling, and data management.

Continuous Improvement: Support change initiatives and improvement projects.

Policies, Processes, Systems & Procedures: Adhere to organizational policies and procedures for consistent work standards.

Related Assignments: Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
