Job Description-

Electrical Engineer will supervise and manage electrical maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance, planned outages, and overhauling work for all electrical equipment in accordance with maintenance plans, HSE guidelines, and quality standards to ensure plant availability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Maintenance Management

  1. Monitor preventive, corrective, and overhaul maintenance activities for plant electrical equipment to ensure reliability and continuity of operations.
  2. Manage emergency breakdown responses and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  3. Promote a condition-based maintenance culture through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  4. Ensure electrical maintenance activities are completed according to approved schedules and maintenance plans.

Troubleshooting & Technical Guidance

  1. Troubleshoot critical electrical equipment failures and determine appropriate repair solutions in compliance with HSE and quality standards.
  2. Analyze equipment performance and maintenance data to improve reliability and efficiency.
  3. Conduct engineering studies and feasibility assessments for equipment modifications and upgrades.
  4. Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and evaluation reports for new installations, replacements, and repairs.
  5. Liaise with EPC/OEM contractors for technical clarification and guidance when required.

Documentation & SAP Administration

  1. Ensure all electrical maintenance activities are accurately documented in SAP and maintenance logs.
  2. Record faults, repair methods, labor hours, and materials used to support maintenance reporting.
  3. Supervise SAP maintenance processes, including notifications, work orders, planning, scheduling, and data management.
  4. Maintain data integrity and compliance with NOMAC maintenance standards.

Material Management

  1. Prepare monthly and annual requirements for electrical equipment, spare parts, and materials.
  2. Coordinate with procurement teams for technical evaluations and material selection.
  3. Ensure timely availability of electrical maintenance resources within budget constraints.

Health, Safety, Security & Environment

  1. Ensure strict compliance with HSSE policies, Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, and safety procedures.
  2. Promote safe work practices and ensure appropriate PPE usage by employees and contractors.
  3. Support accident and incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  4. Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations across all electrical maintenance activities.

Networking & Coordination

  1. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal departments, contractors, and vendors.
  2. Coordinate with O&M teams and contractors to resolve technical issues effectively.
  3. Support the delivery of maintenance services through effective communication and collaboration.

People Management

  1. Supervise and guide Electrical Technicians and maintenance personnel.
  2. Ensure team objectives and maintenance targets are achieved.
  3. Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical support to team members.

Continuous Improvement

  1. Contribute to maintenance improvement initiatives and reliability programs.
  2. Support implementation of new processes, technologies, and best practices.
  3. Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and maintenance standards.

Related Assignments

  1. Perform any additional duties assigned by the Line Manager.
  2. Support outages, shutdowns, and major maintenance activities as required.

Communication & Working Relationships

  1. Work closely with O&M Managers, Electrical Technicians, and Operations Teams.
  2. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, EPCs, and OEMs on technical and maintenance matters.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  2. Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance principles and power plant equipment.

Minimum Experience

  1. 7–10 years of electrical maintenance experience in power generation and/or water desalination plants.
  2. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  3. Experience conducting outages for critical electrical equipment.

Skills

  1. Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting expertise.
