JOB PURPOSE
To supervise daily electrical maintenance activities in the plant, including preventive and corrective maintenance, planned outages, and overhauling work for all electrical equipment. Ensure compliance with maintenance plans, HSE guidelines, and quality standards to maintain plant availability and equipment reliability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

People Management

  • Supervise team activities to achieve targets and deliver the business plan in line with policies and procedures.

Maintenance Management

  • Assign resources for scheduled preventive maintenance, breakdowns, and major repairs to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on electrical equipment.
  • Test and validate equipment after repairs to confirm readiness.
  • Inspect work progress regularly and ensure compliance with schedules and standards.
  • Assist Electrical Engineer in preparing specifications, drawings, and cost estimates for system modifications.

Outage Management

  • Coordinate planning and execution of annual outage maintenance for critical electrical equipment as per OEM recommendations.

Documentation

  • Ensure accurate completion of maintenance logs, including faults, repair methods, time, labor, and materials used.

Health, Safety, Security & Environment

  • Follow all HSE procedures to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor spare parts requirements and facilitate timely procurement.

Policies, Processes, Systems & Procedures

  • Adhere to organizational policies and standard maintenance procedures.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support identification and implementation of improvement initiatives.

Related Assignments

  • Perform other duties as required by the line manager.

COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Electrical Engineer, Electrical Technicians, other maintenance teams, operations team
External: Contractors, SAP, vendors


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electrical Maintenance

Minimum Experience:

  • 10 years in electrical maintenance, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment in power and water desalination plants

Skills:

  • Practical knowledge of plant equipment
  • Awareness of HSE and quality standards
  • Knowledge of downtime analysis and problem-solving tools
  • Understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance
  • Mentoring and people management skills
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
  • Teamwork and collaboration
