Electrical Technician

Position Title: Electrical Technician 

Reports to: Lead Electrical Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Electrical Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE: To carry out maintenance, installation, overhauling and modification activities on plant’s electrical machinery and equipment in accordance with standard maintenance procedures, HSE guidelines and quality standards to attain effective functionality and reliability.

 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description Electrical Maintenance

• Carry out required daily electrical maintenance work and routine preventative electrical maintenance work according to set schedule and ACWA NOMAC procedures to facilitate continuous operations.
• Monitor the physical condition of all equipment in assigned plant and report non-conformances to Electrical Engineer / Electrical Supervisor to facilitate effective maintenance of all ACWA NOMAC facilities as per set Quality/ HSE standards.
• Respond to electrical failures and implement corrective actions in adherence with procedures and guidelines to reduce downtime and maximize functionality of equipment.
• Trouble shoot using necessary tools which include diagnosis, repairing and testing circuit or wiring faults; locating faults in cables to validate that all connection points and cables are capable of withstanding capacity voltages.
• Diagnose causes of electrical malfunction or failure of operational equipment such as transformers, motors, relays, switches and control and monitoring devices and take corrective measures in collaboration with Electrical Engineer / Electrical Supervisor.
• Read and understand technical manuals, wiring diagrams etc., and apply the knowledge to carry out maintenance and troubleshooting tasks, to prepare for the electrical maintenance to equipment in the assigned area.
• Align, adjust and calibrate equipment according to specifications and to maintain records of repairs, calibrations and tests.
• Need to develop skills on any one of the major core fields to become BESS & HV system subject matter experts: 1. Inverters, SCB, Strings 2. • Check the necessary stock levels of spare parts to support effective inventory control.
• Update the maintenance logbook and record details of work carried out including defaults, problems, various findings and conditions of all equipment to ensure timely availability of information and organized referencing. 
• Contribute in the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects in line with the organization’s standards.
• Need to complete Mishkaty TQP L4 with JPM for all site-specific contents of Uzbek PV Plants. Policies, Processes, Systems & Procedures
• Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, processes, standard maintenance procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner.
• Adhere to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental procedures, instructions and controls so that the safety of employees and environmental compliance can be guaranteed. Related Assignments
• Perform any other duties which the line manager may require to be carried out.
• Needs to work closely with Electrical Supervisor, Engineers and Supervisors in Maintenance section and Operations Team
• Work with relevant contractors and vendors

 QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

• A technical certificate / Associate’s Diploma in Electrical maintenance.
• Minimum Experience: 2-5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance as a technician/Supervisor in installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and installations in a plant environment, good speaking, writing English communication skills must.

Skills:

•  Knowledge in testing, commissioning of BESS, HV and MV system
• Strong PV and BESS Technology exposer/ MV and HV Experience would be more preferable
• Strong practical knowledge in BESS packages, HV & MV systems, capable of scheduling PM plans and execution, and able to lead a team of 4 to 6 for HV/MV maintenance, Executing the PM tasks as per schedules and adhering.
• In-depth knowledge of substation equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, protective relays, and control systems, 220 KV system most preferable
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software used for monitoring and optimizing PV & BESS plant performance.
• Knowledge of maintenance management methods, of predictive inspection tools and of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System, good knowledge of SAP Template desirable)
• Experience of having conducted at least one outage for critical electrical equipment.
• Teamwork and effective collaboration skills Basic idea on PV and BESS SCADA System and communication protocols Who is having the Experience AIS system at Uzbekistan is preferable
