The Head of Operational Resource will play a critical leadership role in the end-to-end management of corporate mobilization, IT infrastructure development, surface transfers, new office setups, and travel operations, including the setup and oversight of dedicated business travel boutique catering exclusively to NOMAC Corporate and later on for entire AP and will continue to manage NMES operational and mobilization travel needs.
This role will oversee strategic partnerships, process efficiency, financial oversight, and compliance—ensuring cost-effective, agile, and streamlined mobilization. Responsibilities include budget optimization, negotiation of travel agreements, software integration, visa and regulatory compliance, Governmental compliances for DTCM, DET, IATA, BSP and vendor management. This role will also lead to the implementation of advanced travel solutions.
Corporate Travel Boutique Leadership
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of a corporate travel boutique dedicated to NOMAC and NMES operations.
- Establish partnerships with airlines, hotels, and corporate travel vendors to ensure premium service standards and cost-effective travel solutions.
- Standardize travel processes across departments, ensuring seamless integration with operational and corporate mobility strategies.
- Drive innovation through technology integration, ensuring real-time tracking of travel bookings, expenditures, and compliance.
Strategic Integration Management
- Lead mobilization strategy across departments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational needs.
- Collaborate with the Planning Manager to integrate mobilization strategies efficiently across outage and non-outage scenarios.
- Ensure standardization in mobilization operations and travel protocols for improved efficiency.
- Ensure timely provision of IT equipment to NMES employees to prevent service disruptions during onboarding.
- Mange hardware, software and CCTV requirements for new NMES offices globally.
- Monitor and control communication and data usage across global telecom providers.
- Negotiate and manage IT support contracts to ensure global on-site support coverage.
Vendor Relationship & Contract Negotiation
- Negotiate strategic travel agreements to ensure cost savings and premium service standards.
- Manage global partnerships with travel agencies, airlines, car rental providers, and accommodation vendors.
- Regularly assess vendor performance and optimize agreements for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Use negotiation skill to obtain favourable incentive schemes from Airlines, Hotels, Car Rentals and GDS providers.
Comprehensive Cost Tracking & Financial Oversight
- Develop an integrated financial dashboard for cost tracking of travel, accommodations, and mobilization logistics.
- Implement advanced travel management systems like Monday.com and IFS to enhance budget control and process efficiency.
- Review and authorize invoices before payment processing to ensure strict budget adherence.
- Ensure that BSP payments are made diligently to avoid impacting NOMAC operations
IT & Digital Solutions Oversight
- Define and lead digital transformation strategies, ensuring seamless integration across departments.
- Drive implementation of enterprise IT solutions, automation tools, and infrastructure enhancements.
- Ensure governance and compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Manage vendor partnerships to optimize digital investments and service delivery.
- Develop and execute training initiatives for digital adoption and operational efficiency.
- Negotiate and manage IT support contracts to ensure global on-site support coverage.
Time & Attendance Management
- Oversee workforce timekeeping systems, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance.
- Implement and optimize digital attendance solutions to enhance efficiency and transparency.
- Leverage analytics to inform strategic decisions on workforce efficiency and scheduling.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Monitor and enforce compliance with evolving visa, travel, and health regulations.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal corporate travel policies.
- Regular audits to mitigate risk, prevent fraud, and optimize compliance measures.
Efficient Budget & Resource Management
- Define and enforce a structured corporate travel budget policy aligned with business needs.
- Monitor travel expenditure trends and identify areas for process optimization.
- Provide financial reports to senior leadership for decision-making and forecasting
Leadership, Training & Change Management
- Manage a team overseeing mobilization, travel administration, and budget tracking.
- Facilitate training initiatives to improve travel management proficiency among staff.
- Lead change management efforts to implement digital solutions and streamlined processes.
Strategic Liaison & Business Expansion
- Act as the primary liaison for NOMAC & NMES, managing partnerships with governmental, corporate, and institutional stakeholders.
- Oversee the operational expansion of travel hubs, workshops, and logistics frameworks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 12-15 years of experience in corporate mobilization, international business, travel operations, or financial management.
- Strong contract negotiation skills, vendor management, and regulatory expertise.
- Strategic leadership experience in developing and executing corporate travel solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in travel management software and financial tracking tools.
