Job Description:

Job Purpose

To carry out maintenance, installation, overhauling, and modification activities on plant’s instrumentation and control systems and equipment in accordance with standard maintenance procedures, HSE guidelines, and quality standards to attain effective functionality and reliability.

Key Accountabilities

Instrumentation and Control Maintenance

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance as per schedule and NOMAC procedures.
  • Monitor equipment condition and report non-conformances.
  • Respond to failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot using tools and spare parts; ensure calibration and functionality.
  • Diagnose malfunctions in control valves, transmitters, etc., and take corrective measures.
  • Read and apply technical manuals and diagrams.
  • Align, adjust, and calibrate systems; maintain repair and calibration records.

Documentation

  • Update maintenance logbook with work details, findings, and system conditions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support change initiatives and improvement programs.

Policies, Processes, Systems & Procedures

  • Follow all relevant policies, SOPs, and instructions.

Health, Safety, Security & Environment

  • Comply with HSE procedures and controls.

Related Assignments

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Communication & Working Relationships

  • Internal: Instrumentation & Control Supervisor, Engineers, Maintenance and Operations Teams
  • External: N/A

6. Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical Certificate / Associate’s Diploma in Instrument Engineering

Minimum Experience

  • 3–5 years in instrument and control maintenance, installation, and engineering in a plant environment

Skills

  • Practical knowledge of plant equipment
  • Maintenance principles including waste handling and emission monitoring
  • Awareness of HSE and quality standards
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • First aid knowledge
