Job Title: Instrumentation & Control Technician
 

Reporting Line: Administrative: Instrumentation & Control Supervisor

Job Purpose: Performs maintenance, installation, overhauling, and modification of instrumentation and control systems and equipment in the plant. Follows standard procedures, HSE guidelines, and quality standards to ensure efficiency.

Working Relationships:

Internal
• Instrumentation & Control Supervisor
• Maintenance Engineers and Supervisors
• Operations Team

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: • Technical Certificate or Associate Diploma in Instrument Engineering

Experience: • 3 to 5 years in instrumentation and control maintenance in plant

Skills:
• Practical knowledge of plant equipment
• Knowledge of maintenance and emissions
• HSE and quality awareness
• Teamwork
• First aid knowledge

Key Responsibilities:

Instrumentation and Control Maintenance:
• Perform routine preventive maintenance per schedule
• Monitor equipment condition and report to Supervisor
• Respond to failures and perform corrections
• Troubleshoot and repair instruments with proper tools
• Diagnose faults in control valves, transmitters, etc.
• Read and apply technical manuals and diagrams for tasks
• Align, adjust, calibrate systems and log work

Documentation: • Maintain maintenance logs

Continuous Improvement: • Support improvement initiatives and projects

Policies and Procedures: • Follow all policies and procedures

Health, Safety, and Environment: • Comply with HSE procedures and controls

Other Duties: • Perform other assigned tasks
