Job Summary

Lead the plant maintenance function and ensure the efficient, reliable, and safe maintenance of plant equipment and systems. Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety regulations, approved maintenance procedures, and company policies.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Lead, supervise, and assign work to maintenance engineers and supervisors, ensuring activities are completed safely and on time. Manage employee training, performance evaluation, development, and resolution of work-related issues.
  2. Implement preventive maintenance plans and coordinate corrective maintenance activities based on plant requirements.
  3. Ensure effective utilization of the plant’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) through SAP for all maintenance activities.
  4. Ensure effective utilization of material and human resources while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and maintenance procedures.
  5. Conduct coordination meetings with Electrical, Mechanical, and I&C maintenance teams to review maintenance activities and support reliable plant operation.
  6. Prepare and recommend the department’s annual maintenance and capital budget for Plant General Manager approval.
  7. Review purchase requisitions for spare parts and consumables within approved budgets and ensure the availability of strategic spares required for maintenance.
  8. Analyze and resolve maintenance problems and support teams in troubleshooting. Coordinate with other department managers to investigate and identify root causes of chronic and intermittent plant issues.
  9. Ensure Environmental Aspect-Impact Assessments and Hazard Risk Assessments are conducted, controlled, and regularly updated.
  10. Identify, establish, and monitor Integrated Management System (IMS) objectives, targets, and programs.
  11. Provide the necessary resources for effective implementation and sustainability of the IMS.
  12. Report IMS performance to management periodically.
  13. Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements within the scope of maintenance activities.
  14. Ensure root causes of identified non-conformances and deviations are investigated and appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  15. Identify competency gaps within the maintenance team and implement appropriate training and development actions.
  16. Conduct annual performance evaluations for reporting employees and ensure proper waste management practices are followed.
  17. Ensure appropriate PPE and other required safety equipment are provided to personnel working within the plant.
  18. Monitor and control contractor and subcontractor activities within the plant in accordance with IMS requirements.
  19. Ensure achievement of IMS objectives and targets.
  20. Ensure the Permit to Work (PTW) procedure is effectively implemented.
  21. Ensure identified on-the-job training requirements are systematically delivered.
  22. Coordinate and participate in emergency mock drills.
  23. Ensure measuring instruments are identified, calibrated, and properly maintained.
  24. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Educational

Desired

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering from a recognized university.

Minimum Experience (Type and Duration)

Minimum

  • 15 years of relevant experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferable

  • 20 years of relevant experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  11. Computer literacy, including MS Outlook and other standard office applications.
  12. Working knowledge of SAP as an end user.
  13. Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary maintenance teams.

Work Condition

  • Ability to work in an operational plant environment, including occasional exposure to moving mechanical equipment, outdoor weather conditions, elevated work areas, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and electrical hazards.
  • The work environment may include moderate to very high noise levels.
