Job Summary:

Works under the direction of Maintenance Engineer to execute & supervise all preventive and corrective maintenance, monthly /annual outage and overhauling work activities on plant mechanical equipments .

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assigns preventive and corrective maintenance jobs as per the direction of Maintenance Engineer. Supervises and co-ordinates activities of maintenance staff. Maintains records, prepares reports and composes correspondence related to work.
  • Executes work order through CMMS (SAP) and co-ordinates with maintenance engineer for job completion and technical matters.
  • Maintain such communications and relations as are necessary to report on the status of matters requiring action and to ensure that corrective action is  undertaken
  • Helps Maintenance Engineer in executing corrective and planned maintenance with due regard to annual scheduled maintenance plan. 
  • He will maintain logs, records and files for all assigned area equipment’s information, history and spare part inventory.
  • To prepare purchase requisitions for spare parts and consumables ensuring budgetary constraints and arrange strategic spares availability to cope up with the maintenance requirements.
  • Acquires considerable knowledge of the process and the relevant systems throughout the plant and applies the same to trouble shoot problems and leads the maintenance team in resolving the issues.
  • Supervise, direct and co-ordinate the activities of all personnel assigned to his area.
  • Identify the competency gap for their subordinate personnel and implement necessary actions. 
  • Carry out annual performance evaluation of reporting employees
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees and evaluate their OJT Performance
  • Identification and control of hazards in assigned work area
  • Ensure aspects identified are monitored and operational controls are followed
  • Report deviations in Integrated Management System
  • Reporting of emergencies and incidents and near misses
  • Effective resource utilisation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical
  • 4 years related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Skills:

  • Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles
  • Knowledge of applicable legal requirements
  • Hazard Risk assessment
  • Aspect Impact assessment
  • Knowledge of identification, classification and disposal of waste
  • Knowledge of Emission Monitoring
  • Be able to lead the maintenance group.
  • Excellent  communication skills in English Language
  • Computer literate.
  • Be able to use SAP as end user. 

 

Work Condition

While performing the duties of this position, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. In high precarious places he may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or chemicals risk and electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but very loud conditions do exist.
