Mechanical Technician

Title: Mechanical Technician

Reporting: Mechanical Supervisor

Job Purpose: Perform maintenance, modification, overhauling, and installation of mechanical machinery per procedures, HSE, and quality standards to ensure reliability.

Working Relationships:
Internal: Mechanical Supervisor, Maintenance Engineers, Operations Team
External: None

Qualifications and Experience:
• Technical Certificate or Associate Diploma in Mechanical Maintenance
• 3–5 years in mechanical maintenance and repair in a plant

Skills:
• Knowledge of plant equipment
• Understanding of maintenance and waste/emission handling
• HSE and quality awareness
• Teamwork and collaboration

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct daily and preventive maintenance per schedule and procedures
• Monitor equipment and report issues to Supervisor
• Address failures and apply corrective actions to reduce downtime
• Troubleshoot using tools and parts; inspect and repair as needed
• Diagnose faults and collaborate with Supervisor for fixes
• Use manuals and diagrams for maintenance tasks
• Check spare part inventory levels
• Log maintenance activities and findings
• Support improvement initiatives
• Follow policies and procedures
• Comply with HSE standards
• Perform other assigned duties
