Position Title: Mechanical Technician
Reporting To: Administrative: Mechanical Supervisor
2. Job Purpose
To carry out maintenance, repair, modification, and installation activities on mechanical equipment in line with standard operating procedures, HSE requirements, and quality standards to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

4. Key Accountabilities
Mechanical Maintenance
- Perform daily and preventive mechanical maintenance activities as per schedules and procedures.
- Monitor equipment condition and report any abnormalities to the Mechanical Supervisor.
- Respond to mechanical failures and carry out corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot issues using proper tools, diagnose faults, repair or replace defective parts, and ensure equipment operates reliably.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and drawings to support maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections for corrosion, leaks, cracks, and general equipment health.
Inventory
- Check and report the required stock levels of mechanical spare parts for effective inventory control.
Documentation
- Update maintenance logbooks with details of work performed, findings, abnormalities, and equipment conditions.
Continuous Improvement
- Support improvement initiatives and maintenance-related projects as required.

- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standard operating instructions for consistent work quality.
Health, Safety, Security & Environment
- Follow all HSE policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Use PPE appropriately and adhere to safety guidelines.

6. Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical Certificate or Associate Diploma in Mechanical Maintenance
Minimum Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in a plant environment (installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment)
Skills
- Practical knowledge of plant mechanical equipment
- Understanding of mechanical maintenance principles (including waste classification, disposal, and emission monitoring)
- Awareness of HSE and quality standards
- Teamwork and collaboration skill
