Job Description: 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service. Develop and maintain a robust supplier base to ensure a competitive and reliable supply chain.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks. Ensure all agreements comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Purchase Order Management: Create, issue, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Resolve any discrepancies or issues with suppliers promptly.
  • Cost Analysis & Reduction: Conduct regular cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. Implement strategies to optimize procurement spend and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Conduct regular performance reviews and collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
  • Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory management team to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and emerging suppliers to identify new opportunities and mitigate potential risks.

Qualification, Experience, & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPSM or CIPS is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
