Tool Keeper

Tool Keeper will be responsible for maintaining inventory, servicing tools, equipment, materials, and consumables, while supporting outage execution activities in accordance with company procedures, HSE guidelines, and quality standards to ensure the availability, reliability, and proper management of all tools and equipment.

Inventory & Tool Management

  1. Carry out daily inventory management activities for tools, equipment, materials, and consumables to ensure operational readiness and uninterrupted outage support.

  2. Maintain accurate inventory records, identify missing inventory (delta), and initiate procurement processes for replenishment as required.

  3. Liaise with Outage Managers and Field Service Engineers (FSEs) regarding inventory replenishment requirements and new tooling needs.

  4. Monitor and report lost, damaged, or broken tools and maintain records of tool users to ensure accountability and effective asset management.

  5. Ensure all tools, equipment, and storage areas comply with 5S standards and housekeeping procedures.

  6. Maintain minimum order quantities (MOQ) for Tool Containers, Consumable Containers, HYTORC, FME, and other onsite equipment stored in the warehouse.

  7. Support outage activities by issuing, receiving, and replenishing tools and equipment as required.

  8. Receive materials and equipment from vendors onsite and maintain inventory records in accordance with established procedures.

Certification & Inspection

  1. Maintain valid internal and external certifications for tools and equipment to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

  2. Coordinate with third-party service providers for tool and equipment certification, calibration, servicing, and repairs.

  3. Conduct routine internal inspections of tools and equipment to verify operational readiness and safety compliance.

  4. Validate and maintain inspection and certification records for all tools and equipment.

Health, Safety, Security & Environment

  1. Adhere to all relevant health, safety, security, and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls to ensure a safe working environment and regulatory compliance.

  2. Promote safe handling, storage, loading, unloading, and stacking of materials and equipment in accordance with HSE standards.

  3. Ensure compliance with waste management, housekeeping, and environmental requirements within tool storage and warehouse areas.

Related Assignments

  1. Assist in physical inventory counts during internal and external audits.

  2. Support material handling activities including loading, unloading, and stacking of equipment and consumables.

  3. Maintain 5S standards and workplace organization at all times.

  4. Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager in support of operational and outage requirements.

Communication & Working Relationships

  1. Work closely with Operations, Warehouse, and Outage teams to ensure effective coordination and availability of tools and equipment.

  2. Liaise with contractors, certification bodies, vendors, and auditors regarding tooling, inspections, certifications, and inventory-related matters.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

  2. Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, and tool control processes.

Minimum Experience

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in onsite and warehouse tool-keeping, inventory management, or related tooling operations.

  2. Experience handling industrial tools, equipment certification records, and warehouse inventory systems.

Skills

  1. Practical knowledge of tool management, inventory control, and warehouse operations.

  2. Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment used during maintenance and outage activities.

  3. Awareness of HSE and quality standards.

  4. Good communication skills (reading, writing, and reporting).

  5. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  6. Teamwork and effective collaboration skills.
