Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role involves supervising warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations.
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse employees.
- Monitor receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Enforce health, safety, and company policies.
- Schedule staff and allocate work assignments to meet operational demands.
- Monitor employee performance and provide coaching when needed.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, transportation, and customer service teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Prepare operational reports and maintain warehouse documentation.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Operate or supervise the safe use of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of warehouse experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
- Forklift certification (preferred, where applicable).
