Job Summary
Carry out maintenance, installation, overhauling, and modification activities on plant instrumentation and control systems and equipment in accordance with standard maintenance procedures, HSE guidelines, and quality standards to ensure effective functionality and reliability.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Carry out routine preventive instrumentation and control maintenance activities according to established schedules and procedures to support continuous plant operations.
- Monitor the physical condition of instrumentation and control systems and equipment within the assigned plant and report non-conformances to the Instrumentation & Control Supervisor.
- Respond to instrumentation and control failures and implement corrective actions in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to minimize downtime and maximize equipment functionality.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control equipment using the required tools and spare parts, including diagnosis, dismantling, repair, parts replacement, checking, cleaning, and reassembly.
- Diagnose causes of malfunction or failure of equipment such as control valves, transmitters, and other instrumentation systems and take corrective measures in coordination with the Instrumentation & Control Supervisor.
- Read and understand technical manuals, control diagrams, and system diagrams and apply this knowledge when carrying out maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Align, adjust, and calibrate instrumentation systems and equipment according to specifications and maintain records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
- Update maintenance logbooks and record details of completed work, including faults, problems, findings, and conditions of instrumentation and control systems.
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, programs, and projects in line with organizational standards.
- Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, processes, Standard Operating Procedures, and instructions.
- Adhere to all applicable Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental procedures, instructions, and controls to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance.
- Work closely with the Instrumentation & Control Supervisor, Maintenance Engineers and Supervisors, and the Operations Team.
- Perform any other duties as required by the line manager.

Desired
- Technical Certificate / Associate’s Diploma in Instrument Engineering.
Minimum Experience (Type and Duration)
Minimum
- 3–5 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control maintenance as a technician, including installation, maintenance, and engineering of electronic equipment and installations within a plant environment.
Required Skills
- Practical knowledge of relevant plant equipment.
- Practical knowledge of maintenance principles, including identification, classification, and disposal of waste and emission monitoring.
- Awareness of HSE and Quality standards.
- Teamwork and effective collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of first-aid measures.
Work Condition
- Ability to work within an operational plant environment and perform instrumentation and control maintenance activities in accordance with applicable HSE and quality requirements.
